The Northwest Region Workforce Development Board, comprised of the 18 contiguous counties of Northwest Missouri, will have available for public review and comment two modifications to its 5-Year Plan.  This Plan, which provides services and funding levels under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) (P.L. 113-128), will be available for review on September 12, 2017.

The first modification requests to transfer $150,000 of its FY17 Dislocated Worker funds to adult. This request is being made in order to serve the adult population which represents 96% of those customers receiving job center services.

The second modification changes narrative and attachments in the plan to reflect recently approved policy changes to include: Locally defined barrier for youth, Determining basic skills deficiency for youth, Individual Training Account (ITA), Supportive Services, Procurement and Planning Budget Summaries with allocations for adult, dislocated worker and youth for PY17/FY18.
