The Northwest Region Workforce Investment Board, comprised of the 18 contiguous counties of Northwest Missouri, will have available for public review and comment its 3-Year Plan. This Plan, for the period July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2023, which addresses services and funding levels under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act (P.L. 113-128), will be available for review on February 17, 2020.

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires that each Workforce
Development Board, in partnership with the Chief Local Elected Officials
(CLEOs), develops a local plan for their respective Workforce Development Board
region. As such, and in order to meet the deadline established by Missouri
Office of Workforce Development, we will hold a meeting in open session via
conference call for review of the Local Plan.

I realize this may be a holiday for some, but I hope you will join the hour-long call to provide input and feedback on the NW WDB PY2020 – PY2023 Local Plan. The meeting announcement is available for download below.
The plan in its entirety is available for download at the bottom of this announcement. Also available for download below are the narrative section and the newly-developed MOU/IFAs that were presented to the Board Executive Committee and CLEO Coordinating Committee.

The minutes from the January 28, 2020 CLEO Coordinating Committee conference call and the January 30, 2020 NW WDB Executive Committee conference call are available for download below. Both groups reviewed the Memorandum of Understanding and Infrastructure Funding Agreements (MOU/IFAs) – a requirement of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
The NW WDB Youth Advisory Committee will convene via conference call on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. The announcement and agenda are available for download below.
The Youth Advisory Committee is required to review and
provide input on the sections of the PY 2020 – PY 2023 NW WDB Local Plan.
In the attachment (and in red font), are the sections/questions we are required
to respond to. The blue font are either updated responses, or responses
that have been in our local plan in the past. We will review all the
information and seek Youth Advisory Committee input.

Under the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), each Workforce Development Board is required to establish a Memorandum of Understanding and Infrastructure Funding Agreements (MOU/IFAs) for our regional Job Centers. The NW WDB staff and our One-Stop Operator have developed the MOU/IFA and will present them to the CLEO Coordinating Committee and the NW WDB Executive Committee for review and approval, which is mandated by the federal act.
Available for download below is the meeting announcement and MOU/IFA document that will be discussed during the conference calls; these are open business meeting sessions – anyone is welcome to participate. Tuesday, January 28th at 1:00 is the CLEO call; Thursday, January 30th at 8:00 a.m. is the NW WDB Executive Committee call. Both meetings have the same agenda and will cover the same material; you only need to participate in one.
